Text size

To change the size of text on this site, you can use the "Text size: smaller" or "larger" links on the right of each page. You can also change settings in your web browser. Go to the “View” menu and then select “Text Size” or “Text Zoom” to see the options available in your browser.

You can also set these options permanently in most browsers, usually in the same way as you set preferences for colours – see below for detailed instructions.

Colours

You can change the colour of the background and the text of the site. This can be particularly useful if you are using magnification technology and the white background produces an uncomfortable glare.

In Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to the “Tools” menu and select “Internet Options”. Click the “Colours” button to set your preferred colours.

In Mozilla Firefox, go to the “Tools” menu and select “Options”. In the “General” section, select “Fonts & colours”.

In Netscape Navigator, go to the “Edit” menu and select “Preferences”. In the “Appearance” section, select “Fonts/Colours”.
